Get something that belonged to your pet, a blanket, collar, even a bag of his old food, and clear your mind while holding the item. Then, while concentrating on your cat's return, knowing that he will come home, say:
O Goddess of Light
Protect (Twilight)
With your might
Let him feel my love
guiding him home
With help from above
Twilight, come back to me
My pet and friend you will
always be
Goddess protect him from harm
That he may come back
Into my arms
Keep chanting this, and never let yourself doubt that your cat will return. Put all your love, your worry and your heartache into the words and visualize him coming back. Do this until you feel the spell is finished.
Spell to Protect Pets
Our little furry (or scaled or feathered or whatever) ones are a part of our family too. Naturally we would want to keep them safe as well.
With some level of emotion hold the image of your kitties (or other pet) being safe in your mind. Feel your desire for their continued safety. If one is gone from your side imagine what it will be like when your pet returns. Rough out the images as clearly as you can. You can incorporate this technique into other, more structured, ritual forms.
To keep your cats free from fleas, soak garlic in olive oil and mix a tablespoon of the oil in with their food daily. (I would add that, while you soak the garlic and whenever you place it in the cat's dish, you might visualize the fleas jumping off the cat and never coming back.)
Take some fur of the cat (shed fur will do nicely). Tie fur into a bunch with some red thread (silk by preference, although cotton or even acrylic will do). Invoke the blessing of your patron deity. Place consecrated fur into a canister (the following is imperative!). The canister must be reflective on the outside, but NOT on the inside (If the canister is reflective on the inside, it will focus malicious intent on the cats!). Seal the canister with red wax (just a dab will do) Place canister next to cat's usual exit. Red is the color of protection, silk is an insulator, the reflective canister reflects malicious intent, and the blessing is for extra whammy to the spell.

A 3 X 3 Spell
To get rid of physical, emotional, or spiritual negativity, and to bring forth balance in your life, try the Three Times Three spell.
This spell is best performed outdoors during the 3rd quarter of the moon. You will need one black candle, a small spool of cotton twine, a small amount of lamp oil, a deep dish to contain the candle, sand to fill the dish, and a sharp knife or Witchs athame. Using the knife/athame, inscribe the name of the person, or word symbolizing the negative situation you are experiencing, near the bottom of the candle.
Place the candle between your palms and breathe on the candle three times. With each breath, imagine you are exhaling the negativity you have received onto the candle.
Take the cotton twine, and tie it around the base of the candle so that at least two feet of twine hangs from the knot. Begin tightly coiling the twine around the candle in a counter clockwise direction. While doing so visualize a giant, protective, mirrored egg surrounding you and repeatedly chant:
Three time three, as ye have sown
Is thine to reap, thy harvest grown.
For best, for worst, for praise or chide,
The Gods alone your fate decide!
Continue wrapping the candle with the twine until you have spiraled to the top, covering every bit of the candle. Loop the twine, tying it in a knot to one of the coils at the top near the wick. Next, take the oil and liberally smear the twine and candle with it -- cover every inch of the entwined candle. Pour the sand into the dish and then wedge the candle into the sand so that it stands erect, then light it on fire. Watch as the candle melts away, knowing that the magical attack has been deflected.
Binding Spell (Submitted by Dedee Lady of Shadows) 30/7/99
You will need to set your alter up with one black candle, two white candles. You will also need a stick with the persons name carved into it and thread in an appropriate colour for your work (eg: black for binding bad
energy, red for love binding etc) If you have a photo of the person it is even better than the stick.
Light your two white candles and then you black candle - focus on the picture or stick, then take your thread and slowly wind it around the picture/stick and say the following chant three times:
Wound and bound
Wound and bound
So the words of will
Resound,
holding, binding,
clasping firm
this man (or woman) (say their name)
that now is mine
to bid and bind
to bid and bind
deeply deeply
with my mind
* After the third repetition say:
As I will it,
So Mote It Be!
Place the stick/picture in a spellbox or mojo bag and keep it in a safe place or if you are extremely certain of what you are doing bury it under a tree.
