"Soul Mate" - Love spell

This ritual is intended to draw a partner who is best suited to you atthis time in your life, or one who is "meant" for you. It is supposedly"fail-safe", but remember, you must take responsibility for any resultsand consequences.

Components Needed:

a clear mind and focused goal
special paper, such as hemp, cotton, real parchment, whatever you deem
special
a ritual writing instrument (the pen is mightier than the Athame) such
as quill, fountain pen, favourite ball-point, etc. In whatever colour
ink desired.
Moon incense
Charcoal or a small ritual fire
Timing: any time, preferably after dark during the waxing moon. Thetiming is more flexible with this working for many reasons; the natureof the work, and the full moon energy contained in the moon incensewhich is an incense of Increase or drawing.

Reinforce your personal circle/aura, and prepare for workings in yourusual manner.Using the ritual pen and special paper, write words ofpower that will call the most perfect partner to you at this time. Donot include specific names, and avoid thinking of a specific person. Ifyou can't find quite the right words, use the following:

"If there be a perfect match,
this work tonight will surely catch.
the perfect one who is meant to be,
shall find His/Her way home to me.
In perfect love and perfect trust,
I send this out, but not from lust,
This spell will guide us to unite,
free will remains with us tonight."

When you are finished, read over what you wrote and confirm thateverything you want to say is included. When you are certain it is asyou wish, spend some time meditating on your goal while you light yourritual fire or the charcoal. When you get "that feeling" (the one whenyou know everything is right, your will is focused, you know it iscertain, you know the feeling...) prepare to begin the physical aspectof the ritual. When the fire has become coals, or the charcoal isglowing happily, read aloud your writing, repeating it 3X. As you read,or as you come to the end of each repetition, sprinkle a small handful(about a Tablespoon) of the incense on the fire. You will want to bepracticed at this for the best effect as well as safety, so make up afull recipe of it and accustom yourself to its nature prior to the rite.

Fold the paper and keep it near you for three days. Keep it under yourpillow, mattress, or pinned to your night clothes (if you aren'tsky/star clad) while you sleep. After three days, light another ritualfire, repeat the C.O.P., reading and incense procedure and this time,burn the paper when you are done. OR you can keep the paper in a specialspell box if you use this method. Many Witches have special containersto keep finished workings in. These are usually decorative andpersonalized with engravings or painting on them that echo theircontents. For example, a heart shaped heartwood box with runes andmagickal symbols of love on it for this spell. Usually only similarspells are kept together, or each spell is kept in its own box.

Rose Love Candles

These are wonderful for use in spells to draw love...use red for passionatelove, pink or white for romantic, or true love. You can also place a single rosein a vase on your altar as a powerful love-drawing aid. To make a love candle melt several pink household size (6") candles over low heat. When they are completely melted, remove from heat, add several pink or red rose buds (ground) and 20 to 30 drops of Rose Oil. Pour into a prepared glass jar(with wick and metal tab attached). Allow the candle to cool and harden, and burn on the first Friday after the New Moon to draw love to you. Rose buds/petals can also be used for psychic powers (especially when used for a tea), healing, protection and luck.



The Venus Love Spell

This spell will bring true love to you, but only if the entire course of the spell is completed. Begin the spell on a Friday, Venus' day for love ceremonies, and repeat the ritual for seven consecutive night's.

You will need:

1 red cloth heart
1 red candle
1 mirror
1 white cloth
7 pins
1 scent of venus incense stick
Ylang Ylang oil

This spell is cast skyclad (naked) in absolute privacy. After a cleansing and relaxing bath, perfume your body with the erotic oil Ylang Ylang. Choose a magick area in your bedroom, lay out the white cloth ans position yourself in front of the mirror. Cast a protective circle, light the red candle and incense, focus your sexual energy and chant:

I call to thee, beloved one,
To love me more than anyone,
Seven times I pierce thy heart,
Today the magick of Venus starts.
I bind thy heart and sole to me;
As I do will so mote it be.

Repeat the chant seven times, placing pins in the heart one at a time after repeating Seven times i pierce thy heart. Blow out the ceremonial candle and incense, leaving the pins in the heart until the following night.

Love Potions and Other Love Stuff

These are some recipes for love potions to drink while doing love spells, from the book "Spellbound" by Helen Glisic.

Suggested Ingredients for Love Potions:

Cardamon - For lust love, the ground seeds are added to warmed wine for a quickie love potion
Coriander - attracting love potion
Cumin - erotic love
Cinnamon - lustful and passion nights
Vanilla - sexual arousal
Violet flowers - arousal of sensual desires.

Method for Making Warm Brews:

Simmer the herbs, spices or flowers in the filtered water or red wine.
Strain the herbs through muslin (Or use a tea strainer)
Serve either warm or cold and add honey to sweeten

(if you do not want to boil the herbs and wine, you can mix the herbs and wine together and leave it (tightly sealed) for 1 month before using)

Ambrosia Love Potion

1/2 teasp of dried lavender (ground)
1/2 vanilla pod
2 cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1/2 litre of red wine.

Mix the lavender, vanilla, cloves, cinnamon and wine in a pot, allow to simmer and stand for 15 mins. Strain and serve warm or cold.

As you drink the wine, say together:

"May our love blossom


And may we always speak from the heart, with love and respect for each
other. All is one"

Delicious Spicy Love Potion
(Hulled wine)

Mortar and pestle
red wine
beautiful glasses for serving the wine
1 red candle
1 stick of incense
a saucepan
3 types of herbs, 1 teasp of each (Please check that the herbs you chose
are not poisonous - Obsi)

Prepare your altar, light the incense and candle. Grind the herbs in your mortar and pestle (If you have used it for grinding poisonous herbs, then either buy a new one for cooking, or use a food processor - Obsi), charge the herbs for your magical purpose. Put enough wine in the saucepan, simmer, then add herbs slowly. As you do it, feel your intention for love, stir in herbs, keeping your focus.

For best results, do on the waxing of the moon and chose herbs that suit your taste. Some herbs and spices do have a very strong taste.

Spellbound Love Potion

filtered water
2 cups of red wine
1 teasp of each of the following: Cumin, mint and peppermint

mix herbs together in a pot, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 mins. serve.

Winter Passion Drink

6 fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup of rose petals
1 tbsp of clove, nutmeg (I don't know if it is 1 tbsp of clove and nutmeg
combined.. or if it is either - Obsi)
1/3 cup of bay leaves
a pinch of coriander
1/2 cup of lemon and orange peel
4 cups of filtered water
1 bottle of red wine.

Mix together, bring to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve warm.

Awaken the Love Within Potion

Red wine
1/2 tbsp cinnamon
pinch cumin
pinch of rosemary

Mix all the dry ingredients together and simmer with red wine, return wine to bottle. Let it sit for a few days and each day shake it chanting:

"Bring me my true love"

Save it fora romantic night.


Enchantress Love Brew

6 mint leaves
1/2 litre of orange juice
juice from 2 limes

As you make this mixture, imagine your body filling up with sexual energy, infuse your energy into the brew. Mix on a Friday, on the waxing moon. Serve chilled in beautiful glasses and add extra mint leaves to the glasses. Give to your lover when he/she gets home, and be ready for a night of passion.

Spellbound's Love Brew for Relaxing Inhibitions and Mellowing Emotions

1 litre of purified water (Rain water is ideal)
teapot and 2 cups
1 pinch of rosemary
2 teasp black tea
3 mint leaves
3 fresh rose petals
3 lime leaves
3 pieces of lemon peel
3 pieces of Orange peel
a dash of nutmeg
1 small piece of ginger

Cut ingredients, mix together, put into a teapot, adding boiled water, let tea brew, turning twice in a clockwise direction, and saying:

"May all my worries be gone, relaxing my heart to love"

Serve hot or cold. You may add honey if desired.

Nectar of the Gods

Handful of rose petals
1 litre of filtered water
1 bottle covered with symbols of love in red/pink paint

Add rose petals to the water, turn around clockwise 3 times, holding the bottle, saying:

"I call the Goddess of love to infuse love and joy into my brew"

Place it in the sun for 6 days leading up to a full moon, strain the petals from the brew, and drink on the full moon, saying:

"May the essence of love lift my heart as I drink this brew"

Drink it each day till the next full moon.

Lover Come to Me Brew

Handful of dried jasmine flowers
½ litre of apple juice
2 apples (cut into small pieces)
1 red apple (cut into bite sized pieces)

add the jasmine and the apples to the apple juice, stir ingredients in a clockwise direction, drink potion daily, reciting:

"Love comes my way, blessed be"

Creating Your Own Love Tea Brews

600ml filtered water
5-6 teasp herbs (Obsi- make sure they are edible herbs)
2 teasp of black tea

Cover the herbs with boiled water, add any peels, herbs, flavorings, let it brew for 10 mins. Strain herbs before drinking.

When making brew, always have a magical focus.

Use brew once only

Amounts used in brews make up around 2-3 cups.

Refresh Love
1tsp rose petals or flowers
6 mint leaves

Conscious Love Mixer
1 teasp ground rosemary
1 small piece of fresh ginger
or
a pinch of black pepper
1teasp dried tulip flowers
2 chipped dates
2 cloves
dash of cinnamon

Love Make Me True
1teasp ground rosemary
1 hibiscus flower

Lust brew
1teasp loose rosemary leaves
pinch lavender flower heads
1teasp ginseng
1 vanilla bean
handful of jasmine blossoms
1 stick cinnamon to stir in love
sweeten with honey

Hold Me Brew (when you're feeling vulnerable)
Small handful of dried chamomile flowers
1tbsp dried lemongrass

Bring Me Comfort Brew
2 teasp fresh basil
2 pieces of lemon peel
2 cloves

Turn Your Head Brew (helps make you feel sexy)
2 tbsp dried chamomile
2 pieces of Orange peel
2 mint leaves
6 rose petals

Protect My Heart (when you're feeling vulnerable)
2 teasp dried peppermint
½ cup lemongrass
2 spearmint leaves

Healing Heart Brew
1/3 cup lemongrass
pinch of ground rosemary
1 piece of ginger
1 teasp thyme

Dream Lover Brew
4 rosepetals
1/3 cup peppermint
1 handful of jasmine flowers
1 piece of licorice
2 teasp dried lavender flowers

Brew for a Broken Heart
2 teasp dried pansies
2 cloves
honey to taste
