Ritual To Gain the Favor of a Faery Go into a field of flowers or into the woods where you can find a grove of trees. Take with you a small goblet and some wine, about 15 small stones, your faery bell and a crystal, a piece of white paper and a pencil. Make a circle with stones. Face each direction and bless the elements (Earth, Air, Fire and Water) using this chant: I call unto thee Queen Saraelye Elemental faeries bring to me Faeries of the quarters protect me For I humbly honor thee. Next, ring your faery bell and pour some wine into your goblet and drink it, being sure to leave some drops for the Faery Queen. Next, write your request on the white paper and place it in your circle and set the crystal on top of it. Again, ring your faery bell and say: I call upon thee to grant me thy virtue By thy faery name, whose virtue be the same I call ye so true, for I need you Serve me well as I do you. Next, pour the wine you left in the goblet, out onto the earth (the Faery Queen has already taken its essence). Refill the goblet with wine and drink in honor of the Faery Queen and to the bond you have just formed. Now take the paper with your request written on it and go and bury it beneath a tree. Come back to your circle and thank the elemental fairies for their aid and help then dismiss them. Gather up your stones and put them back in your pouch or whatever you carry them in one at at time and say: In innocent purity, I shall see thee Bound to thee, thou comest to me My virtues to thee I have shown Thus I may see thee in these stones. Do not let anyone else use your faery stones as they are now sacred and a bond between you and the Faery. When you are not using them, keep them in a pouch or bag and in a safe place. Ritual For Fnding Your Magickal Faery Name Light a white taper candle and place on your altar or sacred space. Allow yourself to breathe deeply and relax. Concentrate on what having a magickal name means to you. Dont try to pick a name consciously, just let one come to you. Sit quietly in in your sacred space and focus on the candle. If you wish, put on some soft drumming or classical music for background rhythm. Now, ring your faery bell three times then chant these words: I am faery and faery bound A name for me will soon be found And by this name the Lady knows That I am hers, where ere she goes. So magick name, now come to me This is my will so mote it be! Within a short period of time, sometimes just hours, a name will come to you that you may take for your magickal name. Sometimes the name may come as you are chanting. Sometimes you will see the name in a book or it will be a historical reference, or something else similar. The name will usually appear out of no where and right off the top of your head so no matter how silly it seems at the time, you should know that it has been a gift to you from the Goddess and the Faery and should be looked upon a such. Your magickal name should be shared only with the Faery, the Goddess, and those closest and dear to you. Faery Quarter Call Guardians of the East, the Sylphs, Ruler of Air I invite you to join with me Be thou as the wind That sorts the wheat from the chaff Blessed be! You may want to light a faery candle (regular taper candle) to help you draw in the energies of the Sidhe. Sit comfortably, relaxing your body with rhythmic breathing. Allow your mind to settle, releasing any errant thoughts. When you feel completely calm and at peace, ring a small bell three times, and begin your prayer. As you speak, visualize images of the Good Folk. See the light of their spirits gathering around you. Say the prayer one or three times, then ring the bell seven times. Wait in silence for any communication or communion the Faery might offer. Mist-clad in the light of the moon Starspun seekers, I search for thee! Faery light, I ask thy boon Of branch and thorn and elder tree. Wood woven creatures, shadow weavers River keepers, come to me. Just beyond reaching Never in keeping Spirits of Faery, I call unto thee. Wind-hewn wildness Dark and brightness Spiral enchantments, born of the sky Cradle me with elven hands Abide with me, thy human child. When you are ready to return to your orinary consciousness, ring the bell three times and with deep full breaths, inhale vital energy and vitality. Record any special experiences in a journal so that you will retain them in full detail. Note: A "boon" is a favor.
